Whilst the name Indian Head Massage may suggest that we only massage the head the truth is that is so much more.
When we begin the Indian Head Massage, we first complete a full face massage, as it is believed that the different parts of the face map onto our entire body, example the ears represents the kidneys and right between the eyebrows above the bridge of the nose you can stimulate the liver.
We also massage the head and stimulate all the key areas on the head, including the liver, spleen, and pancreas, with a mixture of vigorous and relaxing movements all over the head. When a full Indian head massage is received it works the whole body.
To complete the massage we will massage the neck as this is believed to help with the large intestine or colon and you will also receive a very soothing neck shoulder and upper back massage.
An Indian Head Massage is always completed by balancing all 7 chakras.
